Join local herbalist & health educator Emily Sanders for an 11 week LIVE online course on Herbs for the Body to learn the basic anatomy & physiology of how your body works, and how to use herbs to support each of the body systems .

Learn over 60 herbs and learn natural approaches for many common ailments , such as:

In this class, we use an experiential approach to touch, see, and feel the how our bodies function, and how to assist its natural processes. Develop a deeper relationship not just with your own body, but also with your personal herbal allies.

This course comes with the Herbs for the Body- Herb Kit, where, you sample 60 different local & commercial herbs and how they affect your body. Each week you will get to taste & experience them for yourself to find the herbs that truly work best you!


In this class you will learn:

  • 60 common herbs that can help with everyday ailments
  • The fundamentals of human anatomy & physiology for the home herbalists
  • How to define herbs by herbal actions, energetics, body systems, and uses
  • Our approach to never hurt anyone- Herbal Safety, Contraindications and Dosing
  • The key essentials to implementing self care on a daily basis


This is a live online class using Zoom, and is a part of Artemisia Academy's Herbal Apprentice Program. Recording of the class will be made available after the class. Late sign-ups can stream the videos of past classes then join in for the online classes.

Emily is the Director & Founder of the Artemisia Academy, and has been studying holistic health for over 12 years. She is a Certified Clinical Herbalist and Clinical Nutritionist from the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism, and Certified Massage Therapist from the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute. She apprenticed at the Herb Pharm, in Williams, Oregon to learn the skills of herbal farming and product manufacturing. Her hope is to pass on the knowledge of sustainable living with practical entrepreneurial skills so that herbalists can create thriving practices that fully support themselves, their land, and their community.

Who is this course for?
This course is designed for complete beginners who have never studied plants before, as well aspiring herbalists and holistic practitioners that have already had a fundamental overview herbal training but would like to deepen their knowledge of anatomy and herbs. No experience is necessary to take this class, however, many students that have previously taken yoga, massage, or other type of alternative medicine courses also get so much out of this course!
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
What do I need?
We recommend students get 4-5 books for the course (1 anatomy book, and 3-4 herbal materia medica books for reference & research of herbs). A book & supply list will be sent out upon registration for the course. You will also need a computer with streaming video and recording capability, a pair of headphone, the zoom app downloaded on your device, and your enthusiasm to show up and learn!
What if I miss the live class?
Anyone who registers for the class will be given access to the online class portal. All class recordings will be available to watch anytime. Class notes and hand outs will also be posted online, so no matter what, you won’t miss anything! If you work during the day, and still want the live support and coaching from a teacher, don’t worry! We have an online chat and LIVE office hour each week so you can still ask questions and get feedback throughout the entire course.
